Biography:

|
Prof. Jeroen Raes was Scientific Collaborator of the Génoplante Arabidopsis annotation project, during 2000-2001. In 2003 he received his PhD degree from Ghent University, Belgium; and did his first Postdoctoral research, during 2003-2005 at the Research group of Bioinformatics and Evolutionary Genomics, VIB Department of Plant Systems Biology, also at Ghent University. During 2005-2007 he did his second Post doctoral research at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. Afterwards, he continued in EMBL as a scientist until 2009. Since 2009, he is VIB Group leader in the VIB Department of Structural Biology.
